Driveway cleaning & sealing in Long Jetty
Long Jetty sits on a narrow strip between Tuggerah Lake and the ocean, and that lakeside damp is exactly what dulls a driveway here. Behind the retro shopfronts on The Entrance Road are streets of restored cottages and new builds where the concrete greens up fast. We bring it back and lock in the finish so it stays that way.

Built for what the coast does to Long Jetty.
The western-shore position means Long Jetty driveways cop constant moisture off Tuggerah Lake rather than a straight blast of surf salt. That damp, combined with the mature trees along the older streets, feeds black algae and green mould into the surface — especially on the shaded, south-facing side of a slab. Leaf drop and tannin staining from established gardens leave rusty patches that a garden hose never shifts. Add the humid Central Coast summers and a lot of half-restored cottage driveways, and you get concrete and pavers that look tired within a year of a clean. A proper seal is what stops the moisture and organic staining getting back in.

The driveways we see around here.
The revival along The Entrance Road has pulled a lot of money into Long Jetty's older housing stock, so you'll see beautifully restored weatherboard cottages sitting behind a driveway that's still stained and slippery. Plenty of the mid-century homes on the lakeside streets have original plain concrete or 90s stencil work that's gone green in the shade. The newer infill builds tend to run exposed aggregate that shows every bit of leaf tannin. Almost all of it benefits more from sealing than most owners expect, because the damp here never really lets up.
Long Jetty is central to our patch, so we're through here and the surrounding Tuggerah Lakes streets most weeks.

Good to know.
My driveway keeps going green on the lake side of the house — why?+
That's the damp coming off Tuggerah Lake feeding algae and mould into the concrete, and it's the single most common issue we see in Long Jetty. Shaded, south-facing slabs cop it worst. We kill the growth in the clean, then seal the surface so moisture can't soak back in and re-feed it — that's what actually keeps it away rather than it returning in a few months.
Do the older cottage driveways around Long Jetty seal well?+
Yes, and they're often the ones that benefit most. A lot of the restored cottages sit on original plain concrete or old stencil work that's porous and stained. Once it's cleaned back and sealed, the colour lifts, the leaf tannin stops penetrating, and it holds up to the lakeside damp far better.
